Welcome to "We Love 2 Stitch" and another addition to the popular Build-A-Block series, the Log Cabin Block. This collection features one of the most recognizable and enduring quilt blocks: the log cabin block. Like our other build-a-block collections, our log cabin blocks are created completely in the hoop. No more worries about block accuracy or if the blocks will fit together properly. The blocks are perfect every time.
What makes the log cabin block so magical is its versatility. Rotate and arrange the finished blocks to create stunning layouts like Barn Raising, Straight Furrows, Sunshine & Shadow, and more for projects that feel fresh, fun and fabulous. The classic Log Cabin Quilt Block is built from a center square surrounded by beautifully balanced “logs” of fabric. Strips are added one at a time in a smooth spiral around the center, creating the iconic light and dark (two-color) contrast that makes this block so striking and endlessly versatile.
Perfect for beginners and seasoned quilters alike, the Log Cabin uses only straight strips, no triangles or tricky seams, making it super easy and incredibly fun to embroider. The log cabin block brings timeless charm to table runners, wall hanging, quilts and more.
We love the log cabin block for so many reasons: endless layout options, limitless project possibilities, ease of embroidery, and seasonless applicability. We also love the fact that we can use fabric scraps and left-over jelly roll strips for stunning projects, always a plus for busy sewists.

What is a Build-A-Block?
The Love to Stitch Build-A-Block Series is a fun, new way to create Quilts, Tablerunners, Pillows and more completely in-the-hoop. No more worries about block accuracy or if the blocks will fit together properly. The blocks are constructed (i.e.- “Pieced”) in-the-hoop --- so they are perfect every time.
As the “Designer” you choose the Block Size, the Quilting Motifs and the Decorative Finishing Stitches (if applicable). You configure as desired --- and you Build your Block – to create your project.
Even better, each of our Build-A-Block releases feature the same six (6) block sizes – 3 ½”,
4”, 4 ½”, 7”, 8” and 9”. Mix and match the blocks as your creativity dictates.
